Carol A. Mazurek
in association with the Sommelier Wine Academy
Carol received her Sommielier Certificate after having successfully fullfilled the requirements and
completing both the written and blind-tasting examinations by the Sommelier Society of America,
Inc. in association with the Sommelier Wine Academy in the Spring of 2007. She was a former
Flight Attendant for the renowned and historic Pan American World Airways. Carol attributes her
love for delicious food, wine and excellent service from her many years of traveling around the
world exploring the culinary delights and varied wines from so many diverse countries and cultures. Carol was a recipient of Pan Am's "5 Star Customer Service Award. Presently, Carol is a Flight Attendant for United Airlines where she continues to further her "passion" to continuualy provide excellence in service and hospitality for her passengers. She was trained by the prestigious "Four Seasons" in Los Angeles, California where she completed their Wine and Service Presentation Course in 2005. She has received United Airlines "You Are Remarkable - Safety First Award in 2000, "Gold, Silver & Bronze Service Awards" in 2005 & 2007, "We Care Committment to Community Award", "Company Commendation - Professional & Appearance Awards", United Airlines "President's Award" 2010, as well as over 100 Passenger Commendations since her hire with United Airlines. Along with her "passion" for food and wine, Carol is passionate about "giving back and reaching out" to various causes and foundations, in particular, The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, NY. She and her husband, Vince, were Event Directors three years where she also raised money through weekend fund raising "excursion get-aways" and wine tasting events. Carol keeps busy furthering her education by being a member of the Tasters Guild of America as well as attending classes in food and wine preparation and pairing.
MISSION STATEMENT
My vision for this site is to "journey together" exploring the growing and ever changing world of wine, food and great hospitality. Following along this path, we encourage each other to live healthy life styles and escape the stress and busyness of this modern day world. We will take the time to enjoy quality relationships with family & friends through this knowledge and sharing.
This website is not only intended for factual information, but more for sharing knowledge and life experiences.
